Parkland owns several oil networks and one of the largest convenience store brands in Canada: On the Run and its French counterpart, Marché ExpressParkland felt that the brand formerly known as Corner Store (and Dépanneur du coin in French) needed streamlining across its network. This provided an opportunity to enhance its branding by turning Corner Store into On the Run stores. To get streamlined and customized layout and signage across all locations, Parkland turned once again to Optimum Graphiques.

Their Objectives 

  • Rearrange the layout of Corner Store to turn them into On the Run stores.
  • Get recommendations for material that complies with Parkland head office and local contractor requirements.
  • Ensure product consistency based on each location’s specifications.
     

Our Genius at work

To date, Optimum Graphiques has made and distributed material for the layout and signage of over 65 On the Run stores. Our job was not only to turn existing Corner Store into On the Run stores, but also to set up new locations before their grand opening. 

The first order of business was for the OG team to go on-site and take measurements. We were then able to recommend appropriate materials and provide samples to the project managers. For the redesign, we had to make sure all the new layout and signage items could be scaled to fit each location’s specific space and needs. Our team provided the new branding Point-of-Sale Advertising (POSA) material for all the locations being converted in Quebec, the Atlantic provinces and Ontario, as well as the ongoing marketing material. Material included murals, 3D logos and vinyl cut-outs for a streamlined and customized design across all locations. 

An investment in new layout and signage is an opportunity to improve customers’ in-store experience and enhance branding that translates into lifestyle.
