Fly to Italy with the Pesto collection.

Special design for the
Old Montréal restaurant
for the launch of a new collection

Since 1960, the master roasters at Benny & Co. have made rotisserie chicken their specialty. This popular restaurant chain has been on a mission to offer the best chicken there is. To live up to its clients’ expectations during the summer, it launched a new collection: Pesto. So, for the launch of this new menu, Benny decided to organize a draw for a trip to Italy. When it comes to special projects,
OG acts as a key player to exceed expectations.

Their Objectives   

Launch the Pesto campaign with the media and influencers in their Old Montréal restaurant
Create an “airplane atmosphere” for the guests as soon as they arrive
Once inside, create, in part of the restaurant, a decor so that guests feel like they are in Italy
Decor had to be impressive enough for guests to take pictures of it and post it on social media
Decor had to be freestanding so as not to damage the walls of the restaurant

Our Genius at Work

The client challenged us to imagine and create a decor (designed by our graphic artists) while working within many constraints. First criterion: Install early in the morning and remove the decor before supper time. To facilitate operations, we printed all material on Coroplast with conventional mounts.

Then, the plane had to be located directly in the entrance of the restaurant, while taking safety into consideration. We had to close a section of windows, without compromising the exterior aesthetics. To get around this obstacle, we put the promo on the reverse side and perfectly aligned the interior material with that of the exterior of the windows.

The client didn’t want the closed part of the restaurant, seen from the inside, to look like the backside of a movie set. So the decor was double-sided, and on the back (the visible part from the rest of the restaurant), we printed a stone pattern that looked like the walls.

The ingenuity of our graphic designers and installers played a key role in making this project a great success.
